Overnight will be at gran melia hotel awaiting for your safari on the following day.
Your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. You will then take a two-and-a-half-hour drive to Tarangire National Park on well-maintained tarmac roads, following the course of the Tarangire River. During the dry season, this river is the region’s primary water source for wildlife. The park is known for its elephant families congregating by the river and its giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, which attract predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire is home to more breeding bird species than any other place on Earth, and its landscape is adorned with ancient baobab trees, some of which are believed to have stood for over a thousand years. You will have lunch at a picturesque picnic site within the park, and after your game drive, you will journey to your accommodation in kitela lodge.
The Serengeti is absolutely stunning, and it is known for its vast grasslands, which provide incredible wildlife sightings and opportunities. Unchanged for millions of years, its climate and vegetation create a sanctuary for diverse wildlife. The highlight is the annual great migration, during which large herds of wildebeests, accompanied by zebras and antelopes, continuously move in search of fresh grazing. The migration takes place throughout the year, so it is vital to know the best spots to witness it. In addition to the iconic landscapes, you have excellent chances of encountering predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards—an incredibly transformative experience! In the evening, you’ll be driven to serengeti serena hotel, where you can relax and await the exciting adventure that begins the next day.
Today, wake up early to go on a sunrise safari and capture the animals in their most active state against the stunning backdrop of the African savannah. The sunrise is a breathtaking experience! After the game drive, return to camp for brunch before heading to Ngorongoro, known as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. In the late afternoon, you’ll drive from Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater, where you’ll overnight at the Ngorongoro Serena Lodge, ready for the exciting safari adventure in the crater the following day.
After breakfast, we will descend 600m (2,000ft) into the stunning Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. Renowned as one of Africa’s most densely populated wildlife areas, it shelters around 30,000 animals, including Tanzania’s last black rhinos. With its consistent water supply, the crater is home to diverse wildlife such as wildebeests, zebras, buffalos, elands, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants. The park’s allure extends to its rich predator population, featuring lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopards. A picnic lunch within the crater adds to the experience. Later, we will ascend and head towards Arusha town where you will be dropped either at the your hotel at Arusha or at the airport (Kilimanjaro/ Arusha airport) depending on your next destination.
