During this period, thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and other herbivores undertake dramatic river crossings as part of the Great Migration between the Serengeti (Tanzania) and the Maasai Mara (Kenya). The rivers—like the Mara River—become major obstacles, with strong currents and lurking crocodiles. August marks the peak of the crossings, with the herds braving the waters in chaotic, heart-pounding scenes. By November, most animals begin their return journey south as the rains begin in the Serengeti.

day 1 ; Arusha to tarangire national park
Early morning, we will collect you from your lodge which is tulia boutique SPA for the picturesque journey to Tarangire National Park, packed lunches in tow. Famous for its abundant elephant herds, Tarangire showcases diverse landscapes, from seasonal swamps to expansive savannas, traversed by the meandering Tarangire River. Keep watch for lions on the prowl and leopards lounging in the trees. After exhilarating game drives, we return you to your lodge at Suricata Boma Lodge for relaxation, dinner, and a peaceful overnight stay.
day 2 ;Northern serengeti national park
Following breakfast, you’ll set off for Serengeti National Park on an enthralling game drive, pausing for a satisfying lunch amidst the park’s scenic vistas. The adventure continues into the afternoon, culminating in arrival at the lodge. The ensuing day unfolds amidst Serengeti’s renowned landscapes, home to the epic migrations of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeest. Keep vigilant for resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions, embodying their crucial roles in nature’s intricate balance. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Sero Tented Camp.
day 3 ; full days in serengeti national park
After breakfast, you will embark on a thrilling game drive to Serengeti National Park, pausing for a delightful lunch amidst its picturesque landscapes. The adventure extends into the afternoon until reaching the lodge. The following day is dedicated to exploring the park further through exhilarating game drives. Serengeti National Park’s renowned migrating herds of zebras, antelopes, and wildebeest await your discovery. Keep your senses sharp for resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions, each playing a vital role in the park’s intricate ecosystem. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Into Wild Africa Tented Camp.
day 4 ;serengeti to ngorongoro crater
After breakfast, you will head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area for a game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater, bringing along lunch boxes. Once the drive is done, we’ll take you back to your lodge to unwind, have dinner, and spend the night. Ngorongoro Conservation Area boasts the world’s largest caldera and is home to around 30,000 large mammals like buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, along with diverse bird species like flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. accomodation will be at marera valley
day 5 ; lake eyasi then back to arusha
After breakfast, our safari guide takes you to Lake Eyasi to meet the Hadzabe community, well known for hunting. You can join them for a hunting experience. Then, we visit the Datoga tribe, well known for blacksmithing. You’ll enjoy exploring Lake Eyasi and the village. Finally, your driver will drive you back to Arusha Airport or your hotel. This will mark the end of your safari.
